First Australian Caravan Club branch for Toowoomba

By: Lionel Mussell

The Australian Caravan Club’s first ever branch in Toowoomba is off to a flying start with 26 members and 14 RVs signed up.

The Toowoomba Trekkers held a ‘meet and greet’ afternoon tea in Toowoomba recently and elected office bearers for the new club.

The new branch came about after strong interest at last year’s Toowoomba Caravan Expo

"The ACC ran a very successful stall at the last year where we gained quite a number of new members," ACC chairman Craig Humphrey said. "Several of the new members lived in the Toowoomba region and expressed a desire to form a branch to cater for RVers in their own area."

The new committee of the ACC Toowoomba Trekkers are Jon Schultz (president), Brendan Kiernan (secretary), and David Williams (treasurer).

The ACC welcomes owners of caravans, pop tops, motorhomes, campervans, slide-on campers, camper-trailers, and 5th wheelers.

Any RVers living in the Toowoomba area who are interested in joining the new branch can contact branch secretary Brendan on
