Campers are free to continue their holidays with little fuss during Australia’s biggest head count on census night, with the Australian Government delivering forms to truck stops, caravan parks and established campgrounds nation-wide.

Campers accounted for in the 2016 Census
Specialist field officers will deliver census forms to campgrounds and caravan parks such as the Big4 MacDonnell Range Holiday Park.

Travelling parties will be issued one paper census form for each occupied caravan and tent site in the days leading up to the census on Tuesday 9 August 2016, courtesy of a network of specialist field officers.

The 2016 Census will help the Australian Government obtain a snapshot of the size and distribution of our nation’s population, with the information collated used by the Government to establish vital infrastructure, including conceivably camping amenity – so giddy-up and get on board!

Simply complete the paper form and mail it back in the accompanying reply-paid envelope or use the form’s unique Census Login to fill it in online.
