Weighing in at 10 tonne dry, and with an 8 tonne carrying capacity and space for a quad-bike in the back, the new SLR Commander 4x4 Expedition Vehicle is a motorhome like no other.

The new Commander sits atop a MAN TGM 18.340 4x4 truckwith a MAN EGR common rail engine and 12-speed TipMatic automated transmission, combining to give you an incredible 1250Nm of Torque at 1200RPM.

With that amount of power beneath you, the Commander will literally take you anywhere you want to go.

Other features include tubeless Michelin XZL military-grade tyres, a Central Tyre Inflation system which gives you complete control over the air pressure in each tyre at any time, an enormous 800L of fresh water storage, an additional 150L of grey water capacity, 900W of solar (6x150W) on the roof, two 360Ah lithium batteries, a 2500W Mastervolt inverter and an electric lift-up king-size bed with large skyview skylight above.

With a price tag of about $600,000 (fully-customisable), the SLR Commander certainly isn’t cheap but can you put a price on adventure?
