Winnebago ‘Pink Minnie’ on tour for the National Breast Cancer Foundation
Australia’s very first Winnebago ‘Pink Minnie’ caravan will embark on a two-week road trip from Brisbane to Sydney from September 19 as host vehicle for the 2015 National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) Breakfast Tour, raising much-needed funds for life-changing breast cancer research.
The Breakfast Tour will stop at local Big 4 Holiday Parks down the coast for breakfast and morning tea events, which include food, giveaways, kids’ activities and a tour of the Pink Minnie itself.
Winnebago RV CEO Luke Trouchet said the company was proud to be involved in a major national initiative to raise money for such an important cause, which is also supported by Big 4 Holiday Parks, Ford, and CIL Caravan and RV Insurance.
"The facts show one in eight Australian women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime, and sadly seven women die from breast cancer every day in Australia.
"The NBCF does an incredible job of raising awareness, generating support and funding vital research towards achieving their goal of zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030 in Australia.
"Our iconic pink ‘Winnebago Minnie’ is the perfect host vehicle for the 2015 NBCF Pink Minnie Breakfast Tour, and we are proud to send it off travelling this month – please join in a breakfast at one of the supporting Big 4 holiday parks and donate via the special campaign website www.pinkminnie.com.au," Mr Trouchet said.
The pink Winnebago RV Minnie featuring in the NBCF Breakfast Tour is part of a brand new caravan range introduced to Australia this year through a partnership with Mr Trouchet’s family-owned Apollo Group and US-based Winnebago Industries. The ‘Minnie’ caravans range from two-berth to six-berth models and are available in a range of stand-out colours, including baby pink, tangerine orange, lime green, racing red, sunshine yellow and the more traditional platinum grey.
The NBCF Pink Minnie Breakfast Tour will launch at the Gold Coast Turf Club race club’s ‘Pink Ribbon Cup’ on September 19.
