The production of new RVs, such as this Evolution Luxliner caravan, has continued to rise.

According to the 2014 Caravan and Campervan Data Report, ‘caravan’ — defined as any towed vehicle suitable for accommodation — and campervan registrations increased by 5.3 per cent in 2013-2014, making RV vehicle segment the fastest growing by registration in Australia in the last calendar year.

The total number of caravan and campervans registered in Australia is now 556,844.

The association expects to trend will continue, with production statistics among its members in March 2015 already showing a year-on-year increase of 8.3 per cent — a growth of 13 per cent compared to the same time last year.
