Turu.com.au, Australia’s premier search engine for caravan and camping holidays, has launched a nationwide search to find Australia’s best holiday park.

The search will be decided by popular vote in partnership with Australia’s number-one selling weekly magazine, Woman’s Day.
Holiday park enthusiasts can share in $10,000 in prizes by voting for their favourite parks.

The winning park will win a double page spread in Woman’s Day plus $5,000 worth of prizes.

Turu.com.au general manager, Robert Gallagher, said teaming up with Woman’s Day was the ideal partner to find Australia’s best holiday park and continue to bring a new audience to parks around the country.

"The Woman’s Day partnership not only provides us a great platform to promote the best holiday park competition, but also gives our parks the opportunity to get unrivalled coverage through Australia’s premier weekly magazine."

Between January 2 and January 25, every time a person visits, reviews or books a holiday park or comments on it via social media on Turu.com.au, that park will receive a point.

Turu will total the points to help short list five parks per state as finalists in Australia’s best holiday park competition. The short lists will be announced via the Woman’s Day website on January 28 when voting will commence to find out who is Australia’s most popular holiday park.

Gallagher said both the parks and the voters would share in prizes worth thousands of dollars.

"The winning parks will receive brilliant publicity in Woman’s Day leading up to Easter, with each state winner featured and the overall winner receiving a double page spread," he said.

"Summertime and Easter are two of the busiest times of the year for many holiday parks, so what better time to invite people to relive their favourite experiences.

"With nearly 2,000 properties listed on Turu.com.au, in our first six months we have hosted more than half a million visitors and generated more than 40,000 booking enquiries."

Turu is owned by Bauer Media Group, the world’s largest magazine publisher, with over 500 magazine titles around the world.
