Tasmania is all about art this June with its Bay of Fires Winter Arts Festival and Campbell Town Show.

CAMPBELL TOWN SHOW

Jun 2-3

Location: Campbell Town

A long-running favourite with sheep and wool judging, an animal nursery, dog trials, shearing and equestrian events, wood chopping, fashions, craft, ute competitions, food expos and stalls.

The show was founded in 1838 and played a great role in presenting Tasmania's high quality livestock and wool.

BAY OF FIRES WINTER ARTS FESTIVAL

Location: St Helens area

The festival includes an array of exhibitions, workshops and events held from White Sands to St Helens, including the Bay of Fires Art Prize, an arts market and film arts.

On Saturday 10th you can take an Open Studio Escorted Couch Tour ($75), explore silk painting with Evelyn Antonysen ($65), take a look at open gardens ($5) or visit Knitting 101 for Beginners with Rita Power ($28).

Sunday offers many great activities such as Bay of Fires Art Market (FREE), Aboriginal Art in Acrylic with Rissah Vox ($45), Youth Art Prize Exhibition (FREE) and Full Tilt Boogie Live Band (FREE).

Monday offers Walking Tour with Paul Frater at Winifred's View ($10), Virtual Reality Art Hands-ON & Live Demo (FREE), Textile Art Exhibition (GOLD COIN) and Bay of Fires Art Prize (FREE).
