APEX CAMEL CUP

Tickets: FREE cihldren under 12, $15 seniors, $20 general admission, $10 family (2 adults & 2 children over 12), $130 Lasseters Marquee (including food & beverages)

Camels compete in 9 races on a dusty outback track. Belly dancers, rickshaw races, ‘Kids Kamel Kapers’ hobby camel races, rides, Mr and Miss Camel Cup challenges, stalls and bars add to the fun.

DARWIN LIONS’ BEER CAN REGATTA

July 9

Location: Mindil Beach, Darwin

Time: 10am - 5pm

Cheer on would-be shipwrights floundering at Mindil Beach in their can, bottle, and carton creations in an effort to reduce litter and raise funds for Lions’ Club projects.

KATHERINE AND DISTRICT SHOW

July 21-22

Location: Katherine

Tickets: $35 adult, $18 child (17 and under), FREE children 4 and under, $20 pensioner, $95 family (2 adults & 2 children)

Enjoy a weekend of rural entertainment, with a camp draft and rodeo, cooking classes, sideshows, plenty of horse and cattle events, and a range of entertaining novelty events to keep things fun.

Competitions such as showjumping, barrel challange, egg tossing, lawn mower races are available. 

Following classes will be held at the show: art, craft, needlework & photography; cooking, homebrew & horticulture; agriculture; pets; poetry and writing.

You also have a chance to attend animal classes and pet shows.
