Available in four different colours, it comes with the Leatherman 25-year warranty and retails for $109.95 – contact Zen Imports (www.zenimports.com.au) for your nearest stockist.
The Portland, Oregon-based company has been producing its well-known (and widely-imitated) all-in-one tools since 1983, after leaky pipes and a cranky car on a budget trip through Europe inspired Tim Leatherman to conceive his first pocket survival tool. "I made my first cardboard model in a hotel room in Tehran," he says. "Iran was one of 20 countries we visited in nine months."
