New RV design innovation

Content marketing business Adventures Group, specialists in the self-drive tourism industry, is taking the lead on a new design innovation award aimed solely at the RV market.

Partnering with BMPRO, a leading supplier of power and battery management systems, and innovation consultant and former head of manufacturing and engineering of TAFE NSW, Peter Smith, the ‘BMPRO Innovation Award’ will be the first innovation awards for the RV sector.

The awards will give science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) students free creative opportunity to create futuristic RV design and innovation concepts.

Entries will be independently judged by industry experts including Rob Lucas, CEO of the Caravan Industry Association Victoria, where 90% of all caravans are manufactured, and who plays an integral part in retention and recruitment programmes for industry.

Adventures CEO Rob Gallagher says the awards are a vital collaboration between industry and the next generation of engineers and designers.

“The awards will set the benchmark in product design, process improvement or product refinement, setting the stage for the future of RV.

“As specialists in this area, championing the sector, we see it as our role to be at the forefront of supporting the next generation, and ensuring there is a strong connection with established market leaders to shape the future.”

BMPRO’s Louise Bayliss says the awards are a perfect fit for it, given its focus on innovation.

“We pride ourselves on being an innovator in our power management solutions, which are changing the way people are camping. These awards will ensure we are supporting the next generation to strive for even better solutions, be it technology, or otherwise.”
