The Sunseeker Desert Storm is a fabulous blend of form and function. It has incredible 'wow' factor due to its colour matched decals, wheels and suspension arms. But this van doesn't just have the looks. It's a true, genuine offroader, priced at $79,900. At 2560kg Tare, the Desert Storm also has Al-Ko Enduro Outback suspension, heavy duty wheels, a DO35 offroad coupling, and a heavy duty chassis with T-piece strengthener on the extended A-frame. And the van is equally impressive inside, with beautiful internal styling and clearly a lot of thought put into the layout and design.

On The Move Caravans designed the Vortex to celebrate its 10th anniversary in the caravan building business. The Vortex, a striking van priced at $79,999, features the company's colour scheme of black and bright greern (however, the colours are optional and can be changed at customer request). It has been designed with fishing and boating enthusiasts in mind (as OTM's owner Lennie Mifsud is a keen fisherman) with provision for a boat trailer and boat motor on the rear of the van. Clever internal features include an inbuilt vacuum system, and streamlined cabinetry with no visible latches.

Offroad specialist Trakmaster's nuggety little Pilbara Explorer is designed to bridge the gap between a camper trailer and a caravan. Its compact size and pop-top design mean it will follow your 4WD literally anywhere you want to go. With a full external kitchen, plus internal kitchen, the Pilbara Explorer is priced at $79,300. There's no bathroom, but you still get a lot for the price and at just 1765kg (ATM 2350kg), genuine offroad travel is in your future with this van. Lithium batteries, and Trakmaster's own TrakAir load-sensing suspension are big ticks for innovation.
