NEWS: CAREFLIGHT CARAVAN AND MOTORHOME VENTURE

Caravan World — 7 September 2009

CareFlight is inviting RVers to join in a tag-along-tour so that its doctors and helicopter pilots can continue to deliver specialised care to those living in remote NSW communities.

The two-week CareFlight Caravan and Motorhome Venture across southern NSW will commence October 20 from Nelligen. Travellers in camper trailers, caravans, motorhomes will then make their way through Cooma, Tumut, Griffith, Parkes and Dubbo to finish at Orange on November 10.

Throughout the journey, participants will have an opportunity to visit popular landmarks including the “Dish” at Parkes, the Catania Fruit Salad Farm near Griffith, and The Dubbo Goal.

Entry costs $880 per couple per RV, which includes tours, caravan park fees and most meals. Couples, however, who raise $3000 can join in for free.

CareFlight is dedicated to providing rapid-response, critical-care for the ill and injured from bases where the charity’s doctors operate including Sydney, Orange, Perth, Darwin and Cairns, using dedicated helicopters, fixed-wing aircraft and road ambulances.
