Projecta has unveiled an exciting new ‘Intelli-Charge’ 45A 12V, 3-Stage DC/Solar Battery Charger, the IDC45, providing operators with many of the same market-leading features of the original IDC25 charger, but with much larger output.
The new IDC45 provides safe, reliable and faster charging and also has the versatility to handle more demanding applications, including the ability to charge a 12V second/auxiliary deep cycle battery on the go.
Like the IDC25, the IDC45 can also charge simultaneously from both solar and alternator inputs, and can shift from both solar and alternator (9-32V) inputs without the need to manually switch from one to the other.
The IDC45 can be used as an MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) solar controller as well, and features dual charging modes for compatibility with conventional and the ‘smart’ alternators which have become common in many modern vehicles.
For safe and reliable performance, this easy-to-install unit is equipped with over/under voltage which automatically shuts itself down if an issue is detected, reducing the risk of damage to the battery.
