With over 25 years of industry experience and a family-owned, Australian business, Legend Caravans’s Trackline 18ft 6in is set to continue its legacy as winner of 2017's Best Aussie Van. Equipped with the 2021 model truncated 6in G&S chassis, its aluminum frame saves weight — with an ATM of 3500kg — while at the same time not compromising on strength. The 90 degree angle mounting position of the suspension system is great for shock absorption and combined with all-terrain, 16in alloy wheels and a 1000kg payload from its tare of 2400–2500kg, the Trackline Offroad is made for tough adventures.
The Trackline has an alloy frame body and is covered in smooth, insulated, AliComp cladding, with the bottom section of the walls covered in checkerplate. It has a practical kitchen with a four-burner gas stove, a full-size oven and even a microwave and a 190L fridge. The design of this model has been well thought out with soft close drawers and sleek benchtops, as well a full, roomy ensuite, and a queen-size bed at the front.
The caravan is perfect for long-term offroading and it still has the contemporary and comfortable living features of other luxury campers. The drawbar has a large toolbox containing slides for a generator and a portable fridge or barbecue, which is all protected with mesh Stone Guard. Suitable for tough terrain, the new 18ft 6in size is a perfect mix between a luxury tourer and an offroader, and is Legend’s new offering for avid offroaders.
