03 Jul 2009 | Caravanners work to rebuild a SA town from ruins

"When you walk the ruins of Farina, SA, with Tom Harding, his every word seems to breathe life into this classic outback town of yesteryear. 'That’s the Trans Continental Hotel,' he says, directing my gaze to an old stone building, a shell with no roof, windows, doors or flooring. 'There were two pubs, you know. The other is the Exchange at the end of the street. Over there is the bakery. We’ll be baking pies from there within a year.'"

In the August edition of Caravan World with Motorhome World magazine (on sale July 8, 2009), Warren Sim tells the amazing story of Tom Harding, a man who is spear-heading efforts to restore the SA town of Farina.
