The camper trailer we want to buy is just a bit big by 600mm lengthways is there any way of having a removable or fold up tow section?

A "fold-up A-frame" is a standard feature of ECO Tourer vans which includes an off-road model.

Had a 16' Avan caravan with a fold up draw bar for 6 years, no problems at all. However you can get this for on road vans only. A firm in Campbellfield manufacture them and can retro fit.

Have seen this in Europe where a frame folds up.secptical though for me due strength!
