Have almost completely rebuilt my motorhome over the last 4 years, a 1975 Chev C30 with a 8metre C class body, all new outside cladding, new roof, new All Seasons vent, new bedroom area, new shower and toilet, new dining area, completely shipped out the cab and replaced just about everything, half way through a new kitchen with just the lounge to go, next major project is a engine upgrade. Not hard if you think about it before you start and ask questions when you get stuck.

I had heaps of dings in my van's aluminium cladding, so figured I could remove it and give it a panel-beat. The result was something so misshapen that I couldn't get it back on. Next time, I'm off to the specialists.

In early 2007 I drove back up to Darwin through some really serious rain in the Centre. My Toyota Hi Ace got water into the floor area and the floor in these numerous ex hire campers was made of a craft wood type substance!
With a bit of help/advice from a disabled friend I stripped my campervan back to the metal floor and rebuilt the interior, I assure you I have no prior experiance in anything like that.
My new interior included much better storage solutions and everything else was simplified as much as possible!
I loved the new look and it was very workable/livable.

I have just recently completed the installation of 2x 50 watt solar panels to the roof of our caravan along with a solar regulator and 108 amp deep cycle battery as well as a car 12v Cd/radio and a shurflo water pump along with the necessary wiring all hidden from view. I am 71 years old with no electrical expertise. Everything works (and looks) fine.

I was 19. It was my first car. A 1977 Corona. I had seen my dad change a tyre before, so I knew what to do. I unloosened the nuts, and raised the car on a jack, and replaced the flat. Overall a pretty neat job - except for one minor detail. I did not replace it with the spare tyre in the boot, I replaced it with one that was hanging around the garage cooking the right hand side brake. I think it belonged to my parent's ford falcon.
